What can I expect to pay to be seen?
In most cases, your doctor’s office co-pay is all you are responsible for, unless your insurance card has a separate section for “urgent care” co-pays, then those would apply. If you are visiting us from out of town, already have a designated primary care provider on your insurance card, or do not have insurance, then you will be responsible for the bill at the time of service. However, we gladly provide receipts for all services rendered and patients may submit the claim to their insurance companies or use them for any workman’s compensation related cases.

Can you do x-rays or sutures?
All of our providers are fully capable of providing wound care and laceration repair. X-ray services are available during the day from 8am until 4:30pm at our office. We can splint and cast most injuries until follow-up care can be provided by your doctor or specialist.

Do you do routine physicals and follow-up care?
Family Docs on Call is an after-hours care center that provides services for minor injuries and ailments to any patient in our area. We do not routinely perform physicals or do follow-up care. Our patients are instructed to see their regular physicians for routine services to ensure continuity of care.

Can I get my lab results and prescriptions refilled?
If lab work was performed by your doctor, it is best that you notify them of impending results. We can however, refill a small quantity of maintenance medication to get you through until your physician can authorize further refills.

What are your hours?
Our offices are open from 8am until 10pm Monday through Friday with the Family Docs on Call center available after 5pm. Saturday we are open from 10am until 8pm and Sunday from 12pm until 6pm for appointments and walk-ins.

Will my doctor know I was seen there?
When we see patients who belong to another practice or provider, we fax them or send with the patient copies of their visit from Family Docs on Call. This ensures your doctor is aware of your visit and can provide appropriate follow-up care as needed.

Do I have to make an appointment?
Although walk-ins are welcome, appointments are taken on a same day basis. We do not schedule days in advance to ensure each patient has an equal opportunity to be seen at our center without delay.
